Shirodhara is the administering of a stream of warm oil onto the third eye area of the forehead. Base oils are blended with essential oils that are appropriate for correcting the doshic imbalance.
In this course you will learn the philosophy, history and principles of Ayurveda Aromatherapy and body types.
During the course of this training you will learn in detail what oils to use for what body types, the different mediums used in Shirodhara, how it effects the nervous system, and how it balances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state of being.
The ancient technique of Nasya is also introduced, using the partimarsha Nasya. Facial compresses and treatments are also taught, involving the use of relevant Marma points.
You will also be taken on a journey of the chakras and the subtle bodies and how to protect and balance yourself as a practitioner with meditation, oils, colours, visualization, etc, so you can in turn balance those who come to you for treatments.
Theory is followed by practical training and assessment to ensure that the whole concept is understood the traditional way.
A statement of attendance will be awarded at the completion of the seminar.
