Salt Lamps-Natural

The hydrosopic quality of salt draws moisture from the atmosphere.  A very fine saline film forms on the surface of the lamp, which evaporates through contact with the lamp, warmed by either a tealight candle or a low watt electric bulb. There is a discharge of negative ions into the atmosphere that balances the positive ions released by the uses of electronic items such as the television, artificial air conditioning, stereo system and computers. An excess of positive ions have been linked to stress and fatigue.
Negative ions emitting from the rock salt lamps freshen the atmosphere and improve air quality, thus serving as a "Natural Air Purifier".
